The Music at Beaulieu Award

The Music at Beaulieu Award is an annual musical competition for a substantial sum of money given to help a musician further his or her musical studies or career.

The competition is open to anyone of any age who lives within boundaries of the New Forest District Council. The music can be modern or classical. Previous winners have included two clarinettists, a percussionist and a cellist - we’ve yet to have a vocalist as winner.

The Award is made possible by the Music at Beaulieu Trust and several generous sponsors.
For 2008 these are ExxonMobil at Fawley Refinery, a local benefactor, the Montagu Arms Hotel, The Illsley Family Trust and The Rookery
Fort Vale is sponsoring an additional, second award of £1000.
The winner of the £3000 Award for 2007 was Samuel Shepherd; Alex Druet-Lewis won the second award of £1000.
